Welcome to The Onslow
Evening this Thursday
In our continuing efforts to promote
safe riding practices we are running an interactive refresher
evening to instruct, discuss and debate safe riding
practices. The session will be on:
- Thursday 13 March
- at iRide Cycles on Thorndon Quay.
- Session from 6:15 - 8pm
- iRide will be providing free tea, espresso and nibbles from
5.30pm until the start at 6.15pm
- The shop front doors close at 6pm so if arriving after
then come around to the side door
Everyone attending will go in a draw for:
- an iRide Body Geometry Fit worth $300 and
- 2 x Workshop Comp tunes worth $90
There will be a good opportunity for some shopping before and
after the safety session, with specials for the night on tyres and
nutritional products plus a 10% disc on items not already on
This is very much in the interests of everyone who cycles -
particularly with the Tarbabies. Whether you are experienced or a
novice, we are very keen to have you along to share views and
experiences with all present. In addition to catching up
with fellow riders, your participation and feedback not only
enhances your own personal riding safety but also that of the
bunches that you ride in.

About the Onslow Tarbabies
Tarbabies is a Wellington based road cycling group
with a focus on improving fitness and riding technique,
riding safely and having fun. The year round focus for the
Tarbabies is the Round
Taupo Cycle Challenge
, with most of our riders working to
improve their previous best times.
At 8am every Sunday morning the Onslow Tarbabies (OTB’s) gather
at the intersection of Box Hill and Station Road, Khandallah for a
regular training ride.
Riders of all skill levels are welcome to join us. However if you
are looking for ultra competitive riding and racing, there are
other groups that may suit your needs better.
There is no membership fee but you are expected to abide by the Tarbabies
Ethos and Etiquette.
