Route
North up the hill to Burma Rd and then basically down hill all the way through Johnsonville and Tawa to Keneperu where we turn left up Raiha Street to the regroup point at the crest below Colonial Knob. After a quick sprint down via Prosser St, we turn right onto Titahi Bay Rd and around and over the Mungavin Bridge interchange. Left at the roundabout takes us through Porirua East, Waitangirua and Whitby rollercoasters to a regroup stop at the summit of Joseph Banks Drive before dropping down to Pauatahanui. From Pauatahanui, we take SH58 towards Judgeford and turn left into Moonshine Hill Rd. From the Trentham side of Moonshine, turn left onto River Road (SH2) and then right into Whakatiki St, right then left at the Fergusson Dr roundabouts into Ward St and up Wallaceville Rd. Left over the bridge into Mangaroa Valley Rd, left into Flux Rd, right into Parkes Line Rd, left into Maymorn Rd, left again into Plateau Rd and out to SH2 at Te Marua. The return journey is south via SH2 to the Korokoro lights, left back to the Hutt Rd and on to Ngauranga and Onslow Rd.

SH58 from Pauatahanui to Moonshine - high speed traffic and narrow spots
Moonshine descent, especially 2nd left hander - STEEP - watch for ribbed surface and debris
River Rd from Moonshine to Whakatiki - right turn in 100km/hr zone
SH2 merge with Petone overbridge traffic - turn left at Korokoro lights to avoid
